Kurate-chaya Otemachi－This year marks the 35th anniversary of the restaurant’s opening. Inside, the restaurant offers a calm, relaxing, and tasteful atmosphere. Its main restaurant is located in Koriyama City. It offers the best kenchin-udon (udon noodles with Japanese vegetables and tofu chowder), which is the kaido (or “highway”) specialty in Koriyama. The restaurant procures rice from Koriyama City, as well as horse meat sashimi, miso, wild mountain vegetables, multiple brands of sake from Aizuwakamatsu City.
On really cold days, kenchin-udon, a specialty from Koriyama, gets you warmed up from deep inside your body. On hot days, salad soba is the most popular item on the menu.
